The first Rankingfinal in Nordic Senior Tour is played. The final was played at Jusso Kalio in
Turku Saturday 17 December 2011.
On the lanes was the battle that mattered. But tired all the fighting on the tracks against each other in both Internationals on Friday and Ranking Finals on Saturday, we remember especially the family atmosphere in Jusso's Bowingcenter. Entrusted it to the hall manager so tight schedule, also saw Jusso seemed to enjoy working with so many excited and cheerful senior bowlers in the center.
32 finalists played 8 games. After that the 8 best get forward to Round Robin 7 games.
Pekka Tiironkoski who took the lead, showed a brilliant score with 1976.
The points from the first 8 games takes forward. It was hard game on the 8 sites. Both Per-Anders Andersson and Jan Nordberg finished in 1784. Last game separate them. Janne 259 of 236 Pelles gave Janne further play. 4 Finns and 4 Swedes was qualifide for Round Robin.
In the matchplay became the battle of the three coveted final step sites. As usual (one has to say) was Pertti Lehto to the top after 15 games. Janne Nordberg and Christer Danielsson took 2nd respectively. 3rd place to stepladderfinal. More than 100 points separated the top three from Pekka Tiironkoski who finnish in 4th place. Other investments are the result.
In the final step 1 Christer took the lead after the first series with 234 to 232 and then in the second series outperforms by Janne 228 of Christer's 168. A total of 460-404 to Janne.
The final was a tight battle where Janne won the first game 237 against Perttis 236. At the beginning of the second series both had some problems with the lanes, but extremely Pertti won the game with 220 against Janne's 203. Total score to Pertti with 456-440. Once again Congratulations to Pertti Lehto.
As the Swedes must take the boat on Saturday night, there was unfortunately no banquet after Ranking Finals. Between the final sessions, however, we sat down together and ate lunch. No frills. The server was good Finnish home cooking. Thanks Jusso. In the future we hope more players from many more countries. The big attraction will be, good tournaments, and a really big Ranking Final. Already the next Ranking Final, we hope to present such good prices that tour will be as big and attractive to even more players from more countries will play at the Nordic Senior Tour.
Next Ranking Final will be played in Tomelilla next spring or summer 2013. See you there.
More information will be ongoing during the winter / spring 2012.

We who were there experienced the landmatch as something new and exciting. The battle on the lanes and the good atmosphere outside approach, makes us believe this is even more to come. Although the banquet is something special to remember. Our Finnish friends made this evening a memorable evening with good food and many pointed and loving speech performed in both Finnish and Swedish. We thank the Finnish organizers of this initiative. What we implicitly Raimo Palokoski took major responsibility for the international match. Thanks Raimo. Thank you to all others.
Last but not least .. we hope to see you soon (Finns) once again in the next Landmatch. Because the Swedes think that you surely want to take the big and beautiful Trophy you had boughtas as a walking-trophy. Now It's currently on the west side of the Baltic Sea. It is our hope that in the future to play matches with other countries as participants. A seed has been sown. A tradition has begun. Senior Internationals will be played in future also.
This is just the beginning.
